As someone who has spent their life wondering where they fit into this world, I’ve often felt my sound was too different — too niche, too outside the mainstream. What I eventually realized was that the mismatch wasn’t with me, but with the musicians and artists I thought I should be working with. Over the years I’ve worked relentlessly to cultivate my own distinct sound and have actively sought out likeminded souls who are willing to create something clean, bold, and unmistakably original. Using my favorite Slate Digital plugins, I design signal chains that add rich analog warmth and character to songs while keeping clarity and definition. Masters sound contemporary, immersive, and huge — the big sonic picture comes into sharp focus. I developed my taste for sound design and mixing through deep study of my influences: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, Beastie Boys, D’Angelo, The Roots, and countless others. I’ve also long been inspired by legendary producer Rick Rubin and mixing engineer Bob Powers, whose approaches continue to shape my work.
